Dan Sartain

Dan Sartain hails from Birmingham, AL. He's usually associated with rockabilly, but his new album, Too Tough to Live, takes inspiration from the Ramones. He was sandwiched between the amazing Mrs. Magician and the Night Marchers at the Glasslands in Brooklyn. His set comprised almost the whole album with 1, 2, 3, 4 intros shouted into the microphone while the chords of the last songs still rang out. The Glasslands being a cozy little place,  after his set we crawled up to a cramped loft serving as a music equipment cemetary to have a talk about the virtues of digital analogue and the badassery of Amelia Earhart.
Listen to him here.
Highlight of the show: Three great bands in a small venue.
